Protests in Brazil are getting bigger and bigger. The
population is unhappy with the heavy load of taxes any citizen needs
to pay and the little that the population gets back from it.
Inflation in going up and salaries are not going up as much as the
inflation. Public hospitals do not work properly, public education is
of bad quality, public transport is in chaos, the federal politics
turn public interests into their own (like protestant parties and
owners of huge amount of land heavily represented in parliament),
etc.
As an example of the chaos, protestant parliament
representatives are trying to diminish the investigative powers of
Public Ministry and trying to mark homosexuals as sick people.
People are tired of the politics and waiting an answer
from this Labor Party government, but president Dilma is unable to
understand people claims and pretends she does not hear nothing. She
seems apathetic and unprepared to govern. People knew that she got
into presidency because of Lula's popularity and her government is
not delivering what it should.
Dilma does not appear on public television to inform
what the real measures are to control inflation and to improve
infrastructure of the country.
The population was mobilized to put pastor Feliciano out
of his position at Human Rights commission in the parliament, and
Dilma did not say a word about it. She seems afraid of committing.
Now, what started as a protest against the rise of the
price of public transport is turning up to be a huge demonstration of
dissatisfaction with this present government and its lack of actions.
The commotion is generalized and there are protests in
every middle size or big city in Brazil. Let's see where things are
going to end up...and if Dilma will open her mouth to say something!
10% of GDP to Public Education NOW!!!
10% of GDP to Public Hospitals NOW!!!
